Founded in London in 2021 by Milan Buček, Sash Masters refurbish and make traditional wooden windows, blending new ideas and materials with classic, artisan methods.
Milan is a classically trained joiner and has over 10 years of experience restoring, repairing and replacing sash windows in the UK, including many listed Grade 1 & 2 buildings.
In today’s throwaway society, we believe that every window can be fully restored to its former glory, rather than be replaced. It also often costs far less than completely new windows.
We do this by patiently bringing back to life damaged or tired frames, restoring glazing and servicing any moving parts. All of this is done whilst preserving as much of the original window as possible. Where we do need to source new parts, we endeavour to find genuine period materials, for example Edwardian or Victorian glass, brass fittings and furniture. If new timber needs to be used, we only use FSC certified sustainably sourced products.
