All the new timber we use comes from sustainable sources and is FSC® certified.
The majority of the materials we use to refurbish or make windows are fully re-usable. Where they are not re-usable, they are recyclable.
Where we do use new glazed units, they are always low-emissivity (low-e) and argon filled.
Everything we make is bespoke and to order, lowering our energy consumption and minimising our waste.
We reuse and recycle wherever we possibly can. From the wood we use, to the window fixtures and fittings, to tea bags.
We hate land fill and do everything we can to reduce our environmental footprint.
By using wood from sustainable sources means that new trees are planted to replace those that are cut down.
Wood is also naturally insulating, will last for decades if cared for and completely biodegradable if it ever needs to be replaced.
Wherever possible, we use natural, sustainable products and low-e coatings as standard, such as natural non-toxic glue and water-based paint.
We continuously search for the latest non-toxic raw materials to use in our work, and are always looking for ways to reduce our environmental footprint.
